For guests who want to embrace the evening’s most graceful and dramatic side, a full-length ball gown or grand evening gown can be a beautiful choice. Look for modern silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, graceful movement, rich color, and refined detailing rather than historically accurate Regency costumes.
Go grand if you wish, but you do not have to.
Full or A-line skirts, off-the-shoulder or square necklines, contemporary shapes inspired by the empire silhouette. Satin, silk, chiffon, organza, velvet, and tulle used elegantly, with subtle embroidery, floral detailing, draping, and a graceful train where practical. Jewel tones, soft pastels, deep florals, champagne and metallic accents all suit the room.
Hoop skirts, costume corsets, bonnets, tiara-style costume accessories, and historically accurate Regency reproductions are not expected. Evening dresses, jumpsuits, suits, tuxedos, elevated separates, trousers, and jackets are equally welcome, and gowns are available at every budget.
